Walnut is an independent food and health magazine produced and published by my husband Dermot, who is a graphic designer, and myself.
We created Walnut to combine our talents and produce something close to our hearts, for people interested in health and wellbeing, who care about the food they eat, where it comes from and how it affects their body.
Walnut is produced and printed twice a year, and sold worldwide.
The magazine is split into three sections – health, food and people. It's packed with informative and inspirational health articles written by fully qualified experts, a great selection of mouth-watering, healthy recipes including many free-from dishes suitable for those following gluten and dairy free diets or avoiding meat. It also includes fascinating stories about the people who champion the best in food production and natural health. All wrapped up in a clean and contemporary design thanks to Dermot, with beautiful photography and illustration from talented contributors. It’s something to keep, collect, share and cherish.
Our goal is to not only showcase lots of delicious, healthy recipes and innovative producers, but also to inspire our readers and educate them with relevant, up to date information to really help them understand and care for their bodies, and how, with the right information and some easy changes, they can take control of their health and feel better in every way.
We are committed to sustainability and waste reduction, and choose to print on recycled paper, use vegetable based inks and we only print the quantities we know we can sell.
Our latest spring/summer Issue 7 is available to buy online as both printed and digital versions. You can also buy back copies of previous issues online.
